Association needs more players
By Loretta Wilmink • Jun 20th, 2008 • Category: Badminton, SportBadminton officials at Camperdown are attempting to attract new players to the sport.
Camperdown Badminton Association will have a new players’ day next month to get more players.
Secretary Christine Ovens said the association’s daytime and night-time competitions were struggling.
Mrs Ovens said she hoped people would join the club after the new players’ day on July 16.
“It’s the smallest amount of teams we’ve had since I first started 16 years ago,” she said.
“The day is where new players come and we show them how to play and they can give it a go before the next pennant starts.”
