A spot in Irrewarra-Beeac’s finals line-up is an incentive for Bombers players preparing for tomorrow’s game against Apollo Bay.
With injury forcing regular senior players from the side, the Bombers’ fringe players have just tomorrow’s match against the Hawks to impress coach Dan Casey before a second-semi final clash in a fortnight.
Irrewarra-Beeac’s reserves, which sit atop the ladder, have half a dozen players which could hold their own at senior level, making Casey’s job difficult.
Casey said his side was not yet settled and there was still time for players to claim a senior berth.
“It’s not set, everyone’s got to perform to keep their spot in the side,” he said.
“If they play well, they’ll stay in for another week, that’s the way it goes.”
