Colac’s leader still a chance
By Rachel Rodger • Aug 15th, 2008 • Category: Football, SportInjured Colac Tigers captain Jake Carmody says he is a chance to return to football to help his side in its quest for a flag.
Carmody broke the scaphoid in his left wrist seven weeks ago and now faces a race against the clock to strengthen his injured hand after doctors removed his plaster earlier this week.
Scans yesterday revealed his broken bone was healing properly but the key forward is still a week or two off handling footballs at training.
The Tigers are fourth with two rounds left in the Geelong Football League season.
