Back injury fails to stall veteran
By Stephanie Gaut • Oct 20th, 2008 • Category: Sport, TennisColac’s Terry Keast has overcome injury to prove he can deliver in the top section of Colac’s lawn tennis competition.
Keast came equal second with Denis Foley in Section One of the competition on Saturday.
Colac player Ross Buchanan said Keast’s return to form after suffering back injuries for the last 12 months was “remarkable”.
“He’s had a massive comeback,” Buchanan said.
“This is only his second week back in and he’s already coming equal second,” he said.
Buchanan said Keast had ventured into the club’s top section after a convincing win during last week’s Section Two clash.
“I don’t know how he pulls up the next day, but he’s moved up into Section One and he’s definitely delivering the goods,” he said.
Club Stalwart Mark Robinson overcame hot and windy conditions on the court to claim victory over Keast and Denis Foley, winning 24-6 to Keast and Foley’s score of 20-14.
