Celebrating fifty years of marriage

In 1959 David and Flo Balcombe only had eyes for each other and in 2009 they still do.
The Balcombes will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary tomorrow with family and friends at the Commercial Hotel in Colac.
Both Mr and Mrs Balcombe were born and bred in Colac, and when they married they bought a dairy farm together and raised eight children.
“It was only a two-bedroom home to begin with but as the kids grew the house grew too,” Mrs Balcombe said.
