Emergency services busy during storms

090630NH055 Police and emergency crews experienced a dramatic 24 hours on the Princes Highway east of Colac.
Police diverted traffic on the highway at Warncoort for more than eight hours because of a damaged power pole before responding to a single-car accident at Colac East the next day.
Sergeant Don Scott of Colac police’s Corangamite Traffic Management Unit said a four-wheel-drive vehicle was “extensively damaged” when it rolled on the Princes Highway on Wednesday.

WIND: Strong wind damaged a power pole on the Princes Highway, causing power outages and forcing police to divert traffic for nine hours.
