Yeo’s Lorry and Wayne Phillips will open their garden, an 11-year labour of love, to the public for the first time.
The Phillips started planting their spectacular 0.8-hectare English garden from scratch.
It has more than 200 roses, weeping cherries, mature trees and secret outdoor rooms.
Mrs Phillips said the garden evolved bit-by-bit.
“We didn’t start with an overall plan, it just kept growing as we went,” she said.
The garden will open to raise money to help the Phillips’ nephew Matthew Houtsma, 6, receive an assistance dog to help him live with autism.
The family needs to raise $29,000 for Righteous Pups Australia to help it raise and train assistance dogs.
The Phillips’ property, Yanipy, is at 750 Colac-Forrest Road, Yeo, eight kilometres from Colac.
It will be open from 10.30am until 4.30pm on November 15.
There will be art and plants for sale.
Entry is $6 with extra donations welcome.
