Colac actors have been brush-
ing up on their spelling skills for an upcoming
play.
Drama group The Colac Players will perform The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Colac Otway Performing Arts and
Cultural Centre in two weeks.
The musical comedy tells the story of a group of children competing in a spelling competition.
Songs reveal each child’s background, family problems and dreams.
But although the characters are children, the play is for an adult audience.
Performances are on February 24 to 27 at 8pm, with a matinee on February 27 at 2pm.
The Players will also perform a preview song from the show during COPACC’s 2010 season launch on February 20.
RIVALS: Max Devine, left, and Declan Robinson play rival competitors in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
